Dr. Paul Au received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree at the University of Western Ontario, School of Dentistry. Before his dental training, Dr. Au completed his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (B.Sc.Phm.) degree at the University of Toronto.

Throughout his academic career, Dr. Au has received numerous awards including the one for recognition of his proficiency in the field of Community Dentistry from the American Dental Association for all 4 years in the dental school.

To continue his Excellency back in dental school, Dr. Au has been actively involved in the community throughout his dental career contributing his time and effort promoting dental health to different patient groups. Dr. Au has done several presentations on some dental and pharmaceutical topics to the elderly at Yee Hong Elderly Centre.

Dr. Au currently maintains a private General Dentistry practice with emphasis and focus on Comestic and Family Dentistry in Markham, Ontario. Besides seeing patients, Dr. Au plays several sports activities, such as, squash, tennis, badminton and table tennis. Back in high school time, Dr. Au has represented his school in a squash team that won two consecutive championships. Also, Dr. Au has his deep interest in bridge (the card game). He traveled to Belgium back in his university time for a 2-week camp just for playing bridge.

Out of his busy schedule as a full-time general practitioner, Dr. Au also currently maintains a part-time teaching position at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry as a clinical instructor. As teaching has always been an interest for Dr. Au, he enjoys working with student dentists in the university's dental clinic. As per Dr. Au, teaching is not only an interest to him, but also a fulfillment to contribute back to the dental profession for the advancement of ever-changing knowledge.
